Learn about technology during the Smart Nation & U Family Fiesta

Smart Nation & U

Organised by the NTUC and Smart Nation & Digital Government Office, this year's Smart Nation and U is a free family event held at Downtown East on the 30th of November and the 1st of December, from 9 am to 6 pm. The event is meant to encourage positive attitudes toward technology and dispel any fears toward it, by showing how technology transforms and enables how Singaporeans live, work, and play in a fun and easily understood manner.

There will be more than 80 different booths featuring a myriad of tech products and initiatives from companies, institutes of higher learning and the government, including showcases from several of our GeoTechs.

  • Win limited edition prizes at the MOGUL.sg booth by simply scanning the Mogul QR code and creating a Mogul account within minutes. Understand how geospatial data powers Mogul’s smarter property search to efficiently find dream homes that meet multiple lifestyle needs during the stage talk on 30th November, 11am.
  • Learn more about Whatshalal’s Halal Scanner and how it collects information to add value to the Halal supply chain at their booth, where the first public reveal of their Assurance and Traceability Management System (ATeMS) will be held, intended to help halal businesses or businesses interested in going Halal.
  • Children can win prizes from beating Schoolber’s Mifold Seat Belt Challenge by putting on a mifold seat in less than thirty seconds. Watch an animated video explaining what Schoolber is and how it works. Win even more prizes by striking keywords from the video off the Schoolber Bingo sheet for even more prizes. Pooling registration will be open at their booth, with goodie bags to be collected by liking and sharing their Facebook page. Find out more about Schoolber’s newly introduced bus-pool and play the Schoolber Board Game for a fun learning experience about traveling with Schoolber and the carbon emissions saved.
  • YQueue will demonstrate their ordering process using their kiosks, QR codes and app, with limited quantities of free Tea Valley and Gongcha items which can be redeemed on the spot.

From 30th November to 8th December, stand a chance to spin the wheel and  win a free size upgrade for selected GongCha drinks when consumers order at least two items through their YQueue account at Tampines and Pasir Ris outlets.

Last but not least, witness how OneMap’s various features make life easier for everyone in the family, by easily finding different nearby locations such as AXS Stations, Eateries, Places of Recreation, Kindergartens and CHAS Clinics. Keep bus service routes and arrival timings of any bus stop at your fingertips using Bus Explorer, and access nearby traffic conditions, schools and properties with TrafficQuery, SchoolQuery and PropertyQuery respectively.
